RAW Review and Results- July 1 2013

Money In the bank participants confront each other, Champions collide in great match, Henry ups the stakes in his match at the next PPV

Money In The Bank competitors clash:

We kicked off RAW with the world's toughest Vegan Daniel Bryan who was full of confidence, He talked about his chances going into the All Stars Money In The Bank and that he wants to become WWE Champion. Sheamus came out and joked about Wrestlemania 28 and how he defeated Daniel Bryan in 18 seconds. Randy Orton then followed and talked about him not being champion for almost 3 years, he also spoke about the fact that when he wins the Money In The Bank match. He won't hesitate like John Cena did last year.

Kane, Christian and CM Punk also made their way to the ring and as tension boiled over between Orton, Bryan and Kane, Orton hit Kane with an RKO which ended the confrontation between the superstars.

Match 1: The Shield vs The Usos and Christian

This match never got going until all six men started brawling in the middle of the ring near the end of the match. Roman Reigns managed to send both Usos over the ropes and Christian dealt with Seth Rollins temporarily as he attempted the Kill Switch on US Champion Dean Ambrose, However a well timed interference by Rollins sent Christian down and led to Ambrose rolling him up for the pin.

Result: The Shield Win

Match 2: Dolph Ziggler vs Jinder Mahal

The crowd did not get into this match at all which was evidently noticed as they chanted "JBL" and "Jerry" throughout the duration of the match. Ziggler got the victory with the Zig-Zag but after the match the other 2 members of 3MB attacked Ziggler. He dealt with them as predicted and then after all this happened he stood on the commentary table and done his signature shaking his moneymaker.

Result: Dolph Ziggler Wins

Match 3: Kane vs Randy Orton (Daniel Bryan guest referee)

This was a decent match between these veterans but there was added excitement with Bryan being the special guest referee. The crowd were firmly behind Orton as he was fairly dominated throughout the match. Bryan disqualified Orton for pushing him but after Bryan arguing with Kane the match was restarted. Orton looked to be going for a RKO on Kane when Bryan stepped in front of him which led to Kane Big Booting him, Kane got the win after Bryan quickly made the 3 count. After the match Orton was furious with Bryan which led to him hitting Bryan with a RKO.

Result: Kane wins

Match 4: Sheamus vs Fandango

The crowd were very quiet in this match which wasn't surprising as it was a pretty poor contest. Sheamus had all the momentum but Fandango walked away making Sheamus victorious via Count out.

Result: Sheamus wins via count out

Match 5: The Miz vs Ryback

A decent match between these two but the main focus was on Chris Jericho's great commentary work. The match ended with Ryback stopping the match due to him limping. Jericho attacked Ryback shortly after the match and quickly hit Ryabck with his Signature Code Breaker.

Result: The Miz wins

Mark Henry addressed the WWE Universe

The World's Strongest Man gave a speech about his hard work and dedication that he has put in to the WWE business. Henry said that he had to deal with "Backstabbing" "Politics" and "Professional Jealousy" throughout his WWE career. He claims that he will win the WWE Championship for nothing but himself.

Match 6: CM Punk and Curtis Axel vs The Prime Time Players

The Intercontinental Champion started off this match to the disbelief of CM Punk, Punk tried many times to tag himself in but Axel wasn't having it. It's clear that the 2 "Paul Heyman guys" do not like each other but it seems Heyman is on Axel's side more than Punks. CM Punk eventually got into the match and hit Darren Young with a GTS but Axel tagged himself in and pinned Young giving Axel and Punk the win. Punk was not exactly eager to take part in the victory celebration, leaving in a huff while Axel celebrated in the ring with Heyman.

Result: Punk and Axel wins

Match 7: Kaitlyn vs Alicia Fox

Quick Divas match between these two as Kaitlyn got the Victory. AJ came to the entrance ramp and joked about Kaitlyn and revealed a photo shopped picture of Kaitlyn who looked around 800 pounds.

Result: Kaitlyn wins

Match 8: Antonio Cesaro vs Cody Rhodes

Jack Swagger returned and was in Cesaro's corner with Zeb Colter, If this match was giving more time these two have the talent to have a great but it seemed this was a filler match for Tonight's main event. It's going to be interesting to see how this alliance will work in the coming week's.

Result: Antonio Cesaro wins

Match 9: John Cena vs Alberto Del Rio (Non Title match)

The Essence of Excellence drew on his long history with Cena and used his instincts to his advantage, dodging his opponent's power manoeuvres in an attempt to let The Champ nearly punch himself out as the battle wore on. The respites served Del Rio well and kept him in the game, but Cena evened the field by applying the STF to Del Rio. The arrival of Mark Henry threw The Champ off his game, but another surprise appearance by Dolph Ziggler distracted Del Rio long enough for Cena to unleash the Attitude Adjustment and win the match in the process.

After the match Henry grabbed the title and made his way towards Cena, He then tossed the title at The Champ which ended their stare down.

Result: John Cena wins

Throughout RAW we seen the disturbing videos shown The Wyatt Family but as RAW went of the air Michael Cole confirmed that The Wyatt's will debut next week. We ended RAW with a final video package of the Wyatt's which means WWE hopefully have big plans for them.

Overall RAW was pretty average with a lot of throwaway matches. The best parts of the night were probably the confrontation between the All Stars Money In The Bank participants, the Champion vs Champion match and Michael Cole announcing that The Wyatt Family will debut on next week's episode. Overall i will score RAW a 6.5/10
