WWE RAW Review and Results- June 24th 2013 edition

Money In The Bank matches announced, Punk and Heyman confront each other. Bryan and Orton engage in a fantastic Street Fight. 



Match 1: Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan


As we Kick Off Monday Night Raw in Charleston, S.C. Daniel Bryan comes out to a sea of YES! chants from the crowd. He picks up the mic and guarantees that he will defeat The Apex Predator In their scheduled rubber match on RAW.

 Randy Orton comes out looking more determined than ever as they battle before the bell rings which eventually led to a double DQ. It took all the referees to stop Orton and Bryan from beating the hell out of each other.

 We then see Daniel Bryan backstage with Vikki Guerrero and Brad Maddox, Bryan demands a rematch which is accepted by Vikki as she reschedules the match as the Main Event of RAW.

Result: Double DQ

Match 2: Team Rhodes Scholars vs Sheamus and Christian


This was a nice tag team match between these two, It was nice to see Christian team with Sheamus as they have good chemistry together. As Rhodes Scholars dominated most of the match,  Christian made the Hot Tag to Sheamus and he cleaned house with Sandow and Rhodes, Sheamus then managed to take advantage of a rare miscommunication between Rhodes Scholars to hit Cody with a Brogue Kick.

Result: Sheamus and Christian win



Match 3: Chris Jericho vs Alberto Del Rio (Non Title Match)


Great Match between Jericho and Del Rio, The turning point in the match was when Del Rio countered Jericho's Codebreaker which was then returned by Jericho when he Countered the Cross Arm Breaker into his Signature Walls Of Jericho. As Jericho Locked In the Walls, Alberto Del Rio was saved by Ricardo Rodriguez as Del Rio was disqualified.

 As Del Rio and Rodriguez attacked Jericho, Former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler swarmed Del Rio with a flurry of attacks which then led to him hitting the Zig Zag on The Champ which was then followed by a Zig Zag on Jericho. 

 It was announced that Dolph Ziggler will face Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money In The Bank.

Result: Chris Jericho wins via DQ



Game Reveal


Jerry "The King" Lawler announced the cover for The Latest WWE Game WWE 2K14. The Cover Features Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. 







Match 4: Ryback vs The Great Khali


Basic Squash match between these two beasts, Khali had the most offense but was stopped in his track by Ryback's Brute strength as he picked him up to deliver Shell Shocked. 

 It was announced that Chris Jericho will face Ryback at Money In The Bank during a confrontation btween the two. 

Result: Ryback Wins


Promo Featuring WWE Champion John Cena

The WWE Champion was all business on RAW as he addressed the situation between him and Mark Henry. John Cena called Henry out as being a 'disgrace' to not only his family, But to every WWE superstar who has held the WWE Championship, Cena made a promise that he will not lose at Money And The Bank and that 'The Champ Is Here'


Match 5: Tons of Funk vs The Usos vs 3MB ( No1 contenders Match) 

A quick Triple Threat Tag Team Match as The Usos picked up the victory, Setting up a match at Money In The Bank against The Tag Team Champions Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. 


Result: The Usos win





Promo Featuring Paul Heyman and CM Punk

Fantastic segment between two of the best on the mic, CM Punk had two orders of business 1: To tell Paul Heyman that he is coming for Brock Lesnar, and 2: Was Paul Heyman behind the Brock Lesnar attack? Punk also thanked Heyman for always believing in his ability as a WWE superstar and that he will always be a Paul Heayman Guy. 

Heyman denied the allegations that he was behind the attack and that he would never do that to his Best Friend, They then had a friendly hug to end a great Promo. 




Match 6: CM Punk vs Darren Young

 Decent Match between Punk and Young, Darren Young gave Punk a good run for his money as he mounted a stiff challenge against The Second City Saint. Punk eventually made him tap out to the Anaconda Vise, Straight after the match Titus O'Neil unleashed an attack on Punk which led to Curtis Axel coming out to the ring and making the save. Punk was not impressed with Axel as Heyman tried to clear things up with Punk. 

Result: CM Punk wins



Announcement from Stephanie McMahon

Stephanie McMahon came out onto the entrance ramp and announced the participants for the WWE Championship Money In The Bank Match. 

The Participants are as follows: CM Punk, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan,       Christian, Sheamus, Kane, Rob Van Dam. 




Promo featuring Mark Henry

Mark Henry came out to discuss his actions from the previous RAW, Henry did not seem fazed at all as he claimed that we all had a tear in our eye because we thought he was retiring, He claimed that he was proud of fooling us all and that he will win at Money In The Bank. 




Match 7: Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan


This was by far the match of the night, The WWE Universe chose the stipulation which was a Street Fight. A back and forth match between the two as we seen Orton go through a Table and Bryan take several shots in the head with a chair. As Randy Orton Built up momentum he was primed and ready to strike with an RKO when Bryan reversed the move and locked in the YES! lock, Orton tried to wriggle his way towards the Kendo Stick but Bryan grabbed it and applied it over Orton's face which led to him tapping out. After the match Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan embraced with a handshake as RAW went off the air. 

Result: Daniel Bryan Wins




Overall a very good show with some great segments, I would certainly score it a 8.5/10
