RAW Preview- August 26 2013

Randy Orton last stood atop the mountain as WWE Champion back in 2010. Now, The Viper looks almost untouchable with the McMahon family machine backing him as the face of the company. But as Orton relishes in his new reign, former WWE Champion CM Punk looks to find a way back on top.

Here is tonight's RAW preview:

* Will Axel overcome a seething CM Punk?

* Will The Big Show and Mark Henry get a shot at the Tag Titles?

* What does RVD and Ricardo Rodriguez have in store for WHC Alberto Del Rio?

* Have The Wyatt Family still got Kane?

* What will the "Corporation" have in store for Daniel Bryan tonight?

19 August 2013

RAW Preview- August 19 2013

The Biggest Party of the Summer is over, and now comes the hangover. Specifically, the one Daniel Bryan suffered from a Triple H Pedigree moments after the submission expert defeated John Cena to become WWE Champion. The Game’s treachery allowed Randy Orton to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and take Bryan’s title for himself, but what his motivation was is anyone’s guess at this point. While the WWE Universe attempts to sort itself out after the events of SummerSlam,

Here's five things to look out for on tonight's show:

*Will CM Punk get revenge on Paul Heyman?

*Should Christian get "one more match"?

*Who will be The Wyatt Families next victim?

*Can Daniel Bryan recover from his deflating defeat at the hands of Randy Orton?

*What lies in store for the new WWE Champion Randy Orton?

Tune in tonight at 8/7 CT on USA Network and 1am on Sky Sports in the UK to see what happens!

SummerSlam 2013 Preview and Predictions

The biggest event of the Summer is nearly here and with a stacked card for tonight's epic PPV. A lot of twists and turns may come into fruition after the show. Here is my final thoughts and full predictions for each match:

United States Champion Dean Ambrose vs Rob Van Dam (Kick Off match)

This may be Ambrose's hardest opponent yet as Mr. One Of A Kind gets a opportunity at the US Championship. Although RVD's return has been impressive, I don't think Ambrose will drop the strap tonight.

Prediction: Dean Ambrose retains the US Title

Natalya vs Brie Bella

This "Total Divas" match was a late addition to the card, It will be interesting to see if the winner of this match receives a future Divas Title shot. I'm hoping Natalya gets the victory tonight as she fully deserves a run as Divas Champ.

Prediction: Natalya wins

Cody Rhodes vs Damien Sandow

Following the break up of Team Rhodes Scholars a couple of months back, These two have been tearing each other apart in the ring. I would have liked it if Damien Sandow's Money In The Bank Briefcase was up for grabs in this match but nevertheless it should be a good match with Cody Rhodes getting sweet revenge on Sandow.

Prediction: Cody Rhodes wins.

Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn vs Big E Langston & AJ Lee

SummerSlam has added a compelling, albeit unorthodox, bout to its lineup with the newly announced Mixed Tag Team Match of Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn vs. Big E Langston & Divas Champion AJ Lee, I would like to see Langston and AJ get a victory but i believe that Ziggler needs momentum for a future Title shot.

Prediction: Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn win.

Kane vs Bray Wyatt (Ring Of Fire Match)

A match that I'm looking forward to with the Fire keeping these two monsters in the ring. You would think Kane would win this but i feel that Bray Wyatt will get the victory with the other members of the Wyatt Family somehow getting involved.

Prediction: Bray Wyatt wins

World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio vs Christian

The 2 time World Heavyweight Champion Christian gets his "One More Match" at Summerslam. Personally i have found Del Rio's title run pretty boring if I'm honest and i feel Christian may be able to bring a more entertaining side back to Smackdown and the WHC. I can also imagine seeing Ricardo Rodriguez making an appearance during the match.

Prediction: Christian wins

CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar

This match will be a potential show stealer with "The Best vs The Beast" It's obvious that Paul Heyman will be a key factor in this match but that shouldn't hinder the quality of the two competitors in the ring. Expect this match to be fast paced and brutal. My prediction for the outcome of this match will be CM Punk being distracted by Paul Heyman leading to Lesnar hitting Punk with the F-5 and getting the pin, This then leading to a rematch at the next PPV Night Of Champions.

Prediction: Brock Lesnar wins.

WWE Champion John Cena vs Daniel Bryan (Triple H special Guest Referee)

This Main Event could be a classic although adding Triple H as Guest Referee has kind of giving me a feeling that he will screw one of the superstars out of a victory. This match could have several swerves with Vince McMahon not liking Cena and Bryan. You also can't forget the Ace In The Pack, Mr Money In The Bank Randy Orton who will cash in on the Champ when vulnerable although i think tonight won't be the night he cashes in. Expect high drama in this match and possibly interference. With reports that  John Cena will undergo Elbow surgery in the coming weeks, The only logical option would be him dropping the strap to Daniel Bryan who deserves a run with The title

Prediction: Daniel Bryan wins.

Here are my final predictions for SummerSlam:

*Dean Ambrose
*Natalya
*Cody Rhodes
*Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn
*Bray Wyatt
*Christian
*Brock Lesnar
*Daniel Bryan

The Shield vs RVD, Big Show and Mark Henry

The Miz vs Jack Swagger

Curtis Axel vs Zack Ryder

WWE will focus on the following points for tonight's show:

*Will The Shield be able to overcome the team of RVD, Big Show and The Worlds Strongest Man?

*Who will be victorious in the Beard vs Barrage no DQ match?

*Will Paul Heyman respond to CM Punk's vicious attack on Brock Lesnar?

*What will The Wyatt Family have to say when they kick off Smackdown tonight?

*Can Ryback get himself a match for Summerslam?

12 August 2013

RAW Preview- August 12 2013

Six days left until SummerSlam, and all hell is about to break loose. CM Punk might not make it to the summer classic if chicanery ensues during his fight with Paul Heyman (it will). John Cena and Daniel Bryan both might end up with egg on their faces if Mr. McMahon has some diabolical plan in store for their WWE Title Match at SummerSlam (he does), and one group of Superstars who’s been uncharacteristically quiet of late may look to make a big impact in the final days before the summer classic (they certainly will).

Here’s the last pre-SummerSlam five-point preview.

*What will Paul Heyman have up his sleeve when he goes one on one with CM Punk?

*Can Bray Wyatt match Kane's evil ways heading into their Ring Of Fire match at SummerSlam?

*Will The Shield have opponents at SummerSlam?

*What does Mr McMahon have in store for John Cena and Daniel Bryan tonight?

*Can Triple H thwart Mr McMahon's plans for the WWE Championship match at SummerSlam?

Smackdown Review and Results- August 9 2013

Orton and RVD put on a classic, Sandow attempts to cash in.

Smackdown Review

Randy Orton vs Rob Van Dam

SmackDown opened with a blockbuster battle as "Mr. Money in the Bank" Randy Orton, locked up against Rob Van Dam.

Van Dam looked for a victory on the blue brand, but found only the business end of an RKO — delivered after Orton ducked out of the way of RVD’s attempted Five-Star Frog Splash.
Orton’s Friday night win further proves that The Viper can, in fact, strike from anywhere and at any time, and WWE Champion John Cena would do well to grow a pair of eyes in the back of his head.

Highlights of the marquee matchup:

"Miz TV" with Divas Champion AJ Lee & Big E Langston

The Miz played host to a truly eccentric pair as Divas Champion AJ Lee and Big E Langston came to “The Most Must-See Talk Show in WWE history.”
When Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn appeared, however, business would truly pick up — and as talks inevitably broke down, Miz attempted to take back control. As host of SummerSlam, The Awesome One took it upon himself to make a huge pay-per-view match, pitting Ziggler & Kaitlyn against AJ & Big E at The Biggest Party of the Summer!

But the bitter rivals would not wait for Aug. 18. As Kaitlyn and AJ tangled, prompting Big E to lay his hands on “The Hybrid Diva,” The Showoff hit his former heavy with a thundering Zig Zag!

Highlights:

Fandango vs Kofi Kingston

In a rematch of their bout on Raw, the newly returned Kofi Kingston looked to make it two in a row against the fleet-footed Fandango on SmackDown.
But, at the height of the match, a feigned ankle sprain by Summer Rae distracted Kofi and opened the door for her dancing partner to drive his high-flying opponent into the steel ring post. Fandango then did some high flying of his own, nailing the still-dazed Kofi with a leg drop off the top rope for the win.

Highlights of the high flying contest:

Wade Barrett vs Daniel Bryan

A freshly shaved Wade Barrett arrived to SmackDown with clippers in hand and payback on the mind as he faced Daniel Bryan. Just four days removed from Bryan’s disastrous corporate makeover and subsequent shaving of Barrett’s beard, the two grapplers engaged in a bruising battle on the blue brand. But when Barrett attempted to utilize the clippers on the No. 1 contender to the WWE Title, Bryan rallied and, coming off a flying headbutt, the submission specialist snapped in the “Yes!” Lock — forcing The Barrett Barrage to tap out and continuing Bryan’s red-hot winning streak.

Highlights of the Beard vs Barber:

Kane vs 3MB

Kane sent a terrifying message of dominance by destroying 3MB in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match on SmackDown, immediately after which Bray Wyatt appeared on the TitanTron with a targeted — and creepy — message of his own for The Big Red Monster.
Addressing their upcoming Ring of Fire Match at SummerSlam, Wyatt claimed to be “already dead” and professed no fear for The Devil’s Favorite Demon.

Highlights:

Damien Sandow unveiled a “Sandowized” briefcase

After unveiling a “Sandowized” version of the Money in the Bank briefcase, Damien Sandow delivered a pointed message to Alberto Del Rio, promising to become “World Champion of the Unwashed Masses.”

Sandow's new Money In The Bank Briefcase:

Brock Lesnar interview

Taking particular offense to CM Punk calling himself “The Best in the World,” Brock Lesnar proclaimed to be more than just Paul Heyman’s “muscle,” making it clear that things are very personal between him and CM Punk.
What exactly will Heyman have up his sleeve when he battles Punk Monday on Raw?

The Interview:

Christian vs Alberto Del Rio (Non Title)

J
ust nine days before their SummerSlam World Title clash, Christian battled World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in a classic Non-Title confrontation.
The action spilled outside the ring numerous times — including a thrilling exchange on the ramp that saw Del Rio get heaved from on high. But, in the end, all the back-and-forth fighting and near-falls eventually came down to Christian simply getting the best of the Mexican titleholder — rolling Del Rio up for the pinfall victory.

A furious Del Rio argued that he kicked out before the three-count — a dispute that was made moot when Christian leveled his opponent with the Killswitch!
Then, with the champion lying prone, "Mr. Money in the Bank" Damien Sandow suddenly emerged from the back with briefcase in hand. But before the bell could ring on his potential cash-in, Cody Rhodes struck from out of nowhere and floored his former friend!
Will Christian’s victory have lasting effects as SummerSlam approaches? Is Captain Charisma inside the World Champion's head? Find out Aug. 18, only on pay-per-view!

Highlights of the match:

A very enjoyable episode of Smackdown with some great matches including Orton vs RVD and Christian vs Del Rio. A definite 8/10 for this week.

Biggest Reactions from the crowd:

*Randy Orton
*RVD
*Daniel Bryan
